Updating the Cosafe App
This guide is intended for users who need to update the Cosafe app on their devices.
We continuously work on developing Cosafe to optimize the platform's performance and functionality. Therefore, we recommend checking a few times a year if the app needs updating in Google Play or the App Store, or alternatively, setting up automatic updates.
Cosafe app on your phone
Updating the Cosafe app on your work phone is either managed manually by you as a user or through your local IT via MDM.

If you installed the app yourself:
- Go to the respective store and update from there.
- For Android: Google Play
- For iOS: App Store
- Go to the respective store and update from there.

If you installed it yourself via your internal software center:
- Go to your software center and update from there.

If it was deployed by IT but you have the wrong version:
- Contact your local IT department.
If you're unsure how to update it or if it's managed via MDM, please reach out to your local IT.
Enabling automatic updates
Keeping the Cosafe app up to date ensures optimal performance and access to the latest features. Enabling automatic updates on your device simplifies this process.
For iOS devices (iPhone)

Open settings:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Navigate to App Store settings:
- Scroll down to Apps
- Then tap on App Store.

Enable App updates:
- Under the Automatic Downloads section, toggle on App Updates.
By default, apps will only update automatically when your device is connected to Wi-Fi. To allow updates over cellular data:
- Allow updates over cellular data:
- In the same App Store settings, toggle on Automatic Downloads under the Cellular Data section.
For Android devices
Enable auto-updates for all apps

Open Google Play Store:
- Open the Play Store app.

Access profile settings:
- Tap on your profile icon located in the top-right corner.

Open settings:
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to network preferences:
- Tap on Network Preferences.

Enable auto-update apps:
- Select Auto-update apps.
- Choose your preferred option: Over Wi-Fi only or Over any network.
Enable auto-updates for only the Cosafe app

Open Google Play Store:
- Open the Play Store app.

Access profile settings:
- Tap on your profile icon located in the top-right corner.

Manage apps and device:
- Select Manage apps and device from the dropdown menu.
- Go to Manage

Select Cosafe:
- Find the Cosafe app
- Tap on Cosafe to open its information page.

Enable auto-update:
- Tap on the three dots, located in the top-right corner.
- Enable Enable auto-update.
Cosafe Desktop App
Updating the Cosafe Desktop app is either managed manually by you as a user or through your local IT via MDM.

If you installed the program yourself:
- Go to the respective store and update from there.
- For Windows: Microsoft Store
- For Mac: App Store
- Go to the respective store and update from there.

If you installed it yourself via your internal software center:
- Go to your software center and update from there.

If it was deployed by IT but you have the wrong version:
- Contact your local IT department.
