Self-test of the alarm
You can easily perform a self-test of your alarm to ensure that your device settings are correct. The test alarm is sent only to the user who initiated it; no other users are affected. To test the alarm, follow the instructions below.
On a mobile phone/tablet

Step 4 is crucial if you want to receive an alarm signal; otherwise, you will only receive a notification.
- Tap the Menu icon in the top right corner (the button with three lines).
- Select "Test Your Alarm."
- Tap "Test the Alarm."
- Tap "Test"
- IMPORTANT: Close the app or turn off the screen; otherwise, you won't receive an alarm signal.
- After 15 seconds, the test alarm will activate on your device with a notification and a loud signal. When you reopen the app, you'll need to confirm whether it worked or failed.
Did you receive the test alarm and signal?
- Yes: Great!
- No: You might not have configured your settings correctly or might be using an outdated version. Resolve this by following the instructions in these articles:
On your computer
- Open the Cosafe Desktop App.
- Ensure you're logged in.
- Click the Menu icon in the top right corner (the button with three lines).
- Select "Test alarm."
- Click "Test the alarm."
- Click "Test"
- Minimize the app (but do not log out or close it).
- After 15 seconds, you'll receive a notification and an alarm signal.
- When you reopen the app, please indicate whether it worked or failed.
As an administrator**
In the admin panel, you can view the results of users' self-tests.
In the "Users" view, there's a column named "Alarm Test." It shows whether a user has performed a self-test and the outcome. Here's what each icon means:
- Yellow circle The user has never performed a self-test.
- Blue exclamation mark The user has done a self-test but hasn't specified the result.
- Green check mark The user performed a self-test, and it was successful.
- Red cross The user did a self-test, but it failed.
