Important settings for iOS devices

This guide is intended for users to configure essential settings on their iOS devices to ensure the Cosafe app functions optimally.

Note: The exact names and locations of settings may vary depending on your iOS version and device model. If you cannot find the exact settings as described, look for similar terms and options.

Allow notifications and critical alerts

1. Open your device's Settings.
2. Scroll down or use the search function to find the Cosafe app.
3. Tap on Cosafe.
4. Select Notifications.
5. Enable Allow Notifications.
6. Enable Critical Alerts.
7. Ensure all three alert types are selected:
   • Lock Screen
   • Notification Centre
   • Banners
8. Enable Sounds and Badges.

Allow location access

1. Open your device's Settings.
2. Scroll down or search for the Cosafe app.
3. Tap on Cosafe.
4. Select Location.
5. Choose either While Using the App or Always.
6. Enable Precise Location.

If you do not see the "Location" option under settings:

1. Log in to the Cosafe app.

2. Go to a message thread, if you don't have one, send a message to yourself by clicking on "Create Message" then "proceed", type something and send the message.

3. Cick on the yellow plus in the left corner

4. Click on Location

5. When prompted, allow Cosafe to access your location.
