Frequently asked questions

1. Can we use our own SFTP server? Yes, while Cosafe provides a standard SFTP server for efficiency, you may use your own SFTP server.

2. How are manually created users affected by the first SFTP sync? Manually created users not present in the CSV file remain unaffected. If a manually created user's email exists in the CSV, their information will be updated according to the CSV data upon the next sync.

3. Can we manually add users when using SFTP sync? Yes, users can be manually added in the admin panel, provided their email addresses are not included in the current CSV file.

4. Is it possible to create groups manually in the Admin Panel while using group sync? Yes, manually created groups without a Group ID are ignored by the sync, allowing for custom group management.

5. Can a user be added to multiple accounts or subaccounts? Absolutely. To assign a user to multiple accounts, list multiple Group IDs in the "Groups" column of the CSV file, separated by commas.

6. What character encoding should the CSV file use? The file should be encoded in UTF-8 or UTF-16 to ensure compatibility and accurate representation of data.
