Introduction
The "Oncall alert" feature in the Cosafe platform enables efficient mobilization of team members during critical situations. This guide provides instructions on how to receive and initiate an Oncall alert within the Cosafe app.
Receiving an Oncall alert
When you receive an Oncall alert, you will receive a clear notification detailing the purpose of the alert, the sender, and the participants.
Notification details:
- Alert signal: A loud alarm sound will play, and the notification will appear on both the mobile app and the Cosafe Desktop App.
Steps to respond:

Open the Oncall alert
- Tap on the notification to be directed to the Oncall alert details.
- Alternativly, open the Cosafe app and go to Oncall alert and click on the one that has a red frame.

Update your status
- It's crucial to promptly indicate your availability by selecting whether you are available or unavailable.
If you don't indicate your status within one minute, you will recieve a phone call with a pre-recorded message telling you to open the Cosafe app and mark your status.
Initiating an Oncall alert
Only authorised users can initiate an Oncall alert.
Steps to initiate:

Start a new Oncall alert
- Open the Cosafe app, go to Oncall alert and select "Start New Oncall alert."

Select recipients
- Choose the group you wish to alert.

Enter details
- Subject: Optional.
- Message: Required. Provide the necessary information regarding the Oncall alert.

Send the Oncall alert
- Tap the yellow paper airplane icon in the top right corner to dispatch the Oncall alert.
