Cosafe Support Center

Introduction

This article provides an overview of Cosafe External Communication (CEC), a feature within the Cosafe platform designed for one-way dissemination of critical information to employees, external staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders. CEC enables administrators to swiftly broadcast messages to numerous recipients via SMS, voice calls, or emails, ensuring timely communication during essential situations.

What is CEC?

Cosafe External Communication (CEC) is a functionality that facilitates the rapid transmission of important messages to a wide audience. Administrators can send notifications through various channels—SMS, voice messages, or emails—and track individual read receipts for each recipient, ensuring the message has been received and acknowledged.

How to use CEC

To utilize CEC, it must be activated as an additional service within the Cosafe platform. Once enabled, administrators can configure settings in the Cosafe admin panel:

  1. Import contact lists: Administrators upload contact information for recipients into the admin panel, organizing them into appropriate groups.
  2. Assign sending permissions: Determine which Cosafe users have the authority to send messages to specific recipient groups, ensuring controlled dissemination of information.
  3. Create message templates: Develop predefined templates for various scenarios, allowing for quick and consistent communication when needed.

Setting up CEC

To set up CEC, follow these steps:

  1. Contact Cosafe support: Email support@cosafe.com to request activation of the CEC service.
  2. Provide necessary information:
    • Audio file (MP3 format): If voice messages are preferred, supply a pre-recorded audio file that will play during the recipient's call.
    • SMS sender name: Specify the desired sender name for SMS messages (up to 11 alphanumeric characters).
    • Email sender name: Indicate the name that should appear as the sender in email communications.
    • Email subject line: Define the subject line for emails to convey the importance or nature of the message.

Once this information is provided, Cosafe Support will activate the CEC feature, allowing administrators to configure and utilize the service as outlined above.
