Setting up SFTP integration
To configure SFTP integration for importing users into Cosafe, follow these steps:
- Contact Cosafe support: Initiate the process by emailing your request to support@cosafe.com.
- Activate group ID field: Cosafe will enable the Group ID field in the admin panel.
- Create groups in Admin panel: Define at least one group and assign a Group ID corresponding to your file.
- Prepare the CSV file: Compile user data into a CSV file with the following fields:
- UniqueID (mandatory): A unique identifier for each user.
- Name (mandatory): User's full name.
- Mail (mandatory): User's email address.
- Title (optional): User's job title.
- TelephoneNumber (optional): Primary phone number in international format (e.g., +46).
- SecondaryTelephoneNumber (optional): Additional phone number.
- Groups (optional): Group IDs indicating user affiliations; separate multiple groups with commas.
- Skip (optional): Mark with '1' to exclude specific users from import.
- Upload CSV to SFTP server: Cosafe will provide SFTP server credentials. Upload the prepared CSV file to the designated server path.
- Configure SFTP import settings in Cosafe Admin panel: Navigate to the SFTP settings and input the following:
- SFTP username: Assigned username.
- SFTP password: Assigned password.
- SFTP host name: Server's hostname or IP address.
- SFTP port: Default is 22.
- SFTP path/filename: Path to the CSV file on the server.
- Separator of group IDs: Character used to separate multiple Group IDs (e.g., comma).
- Enable daily import reports: Activate settings to receive daily email reports on import activities.
- Additional configurations (optional):
- Automatic invitation emails: Enable to send invitations to newly imported users.
- Manage primary/secondary phone numbers: Decide whether to manually handle phone numbers not present in the import file.
- Initiate synchronization: Once configured, Cosafe will automatically retrieve and process the CSV file daily, updating user information accordingly.
